Tony Mac while I am American an KNOW you don’t have to show your ID, I also know you have no reason to be a prick to a random guy on the internet for a simple question. You could have explained why you didn’t, then just ignored the comment afterward.

In our country, right now, cops abuse the law. They bully citizens. Sure, there are some decent guys out there in uniform, but they’re getting harder to find.
We refuse to show our ID, not only because it’s our right, but to show them that bullying people into blindly submitting is wrong and not fitting of an officer of our law.
We refuse to show because they continue to get away with this. Also, in my area, if you show your ID, they look at your address. If you are in a “bad neighborhood, they assume you are a bad person. Even if you have done nothing wrong. And they will continue to harass you.

Damir Lazarcev i think what WeEd HuMor is trying to say is even if the officer was being polite that does not mean the driver had to give his ID just because he asked politely. I know a lot of people do give id just for being asked but more and more people are starting to make sure they have done something that requires them to ID before doing so. Just my thought.

i got pulled over in oswego in 2016 by oswego cops because i had colorado plates and we figured out nothing illegal about it. they asked foe an id and i said “no” they detained me and said” we dont mess around post 9/11. ” what?!! its also post vietnam war and civil war too. i just think that they need to keep a better eye on this crooked littlw town. not all cops are bad but theres allot in oswego
