RJ no ! I understand that they do clean themselves but some cats have too much hair or for example my cat gave birth and I kept her without a bath for 2 week but I still had to bath her because her hair smelled after giving birth.
Also your cat wouldn’t have any trouble with baths if they got used to water since a young age.All my 5 cats love water ♡

My cat is so sweet, but he gets nasty dandruff sometimes so we have to bathe him. Instead of trying to run, he just stands there, meows pitifully every now and then, and shivers all over until it’s done.
Myathewolf, dandruf in cats can come from dry skin, try adding a teaspoon of olive oil or other plant oil to his wet food.
It will give him a bit more oil to make his skin better, try it out for a few weeks, if it doesn’t help, maybe ask the vet.

He refuses to eat wet cat food, so we spray water on his hard cat food. He’s been having less dandruff now.
You may want to try using a damp washcloth to make it better for him, it’s a lot more similar to them just being groomed.

well it dries there fur like when you take a bath to long and you skin peals off it burns them
Some cats just need to have baths, some are too fat to properly clean and can develop skin infections, or other skin complications. I once owned a cat who had to have her face washed daily because she had cat acne. The only video I found worry some out of any of them was the last one because its dangerous to bath kittens, they cant regulate their body temperatures after.

cats aren’t dogs and don’t need to be bathed – they don’t stink like dogs either. only time a cat should be bathed is if fleas are present or the cat has trouble grooming. cat houses smell when lazy humans don’t handle the litter – it says more about the slobs caring for the cat than the cat.
