Luckily, in the US you have the right to film a police officer.
Since 2015, is Spain, only in Spain all across the European Union, XXIst century, there’s a law that can’t give us this right. Not even the press can closely film an officer. Giving your identification is mandatory, even if you did not do anything wrong in your life.
Waiting to have this law overuled now, time passes by and it is not.
My only two ways to deal with this is to warn that my cousin is highly reputed attorney… but sadly, the second one works better: I say that I served for the FFL for 9 years, only then they want no trouble beacause I gained my french citizenship and the FFL family is very large.

It is no big deal to have a different opinion, but we are miles apart in how to appraise a situation. I think it’s the nature of police work that gives people a wrong perception about how they are treated. Their business is to hunt the liar and transient. There’s a lot of psychology at play in a simple traffic stop, but the way I see it it boils down to this: If you are nice to a cop then they might or might not give you a ticket, and If you are not nice to a cop then they will give you a ticket. This is called 50-50-90.
